What is Kids Connect?
Kids Connect is a specialised social group facilitated by dedicated speech pathologists, aimed at nurturing vital social skills in children aged 5-7 through engaging activities tailored to their interests.
What does it look like?
- Tailored Activities: Programs focus on fostering social skills through Lego building, Minecraft adventures, crafting, and cooking, tailored to each child’s interests.
- Clear Social Goals: We collaborate closely with families to establish specific goals like developing conversational skills, cultivating friendships, and enhancing cooperative play.
- Structured Sessions: Led by experienced speech pathologists, sessions include interactive play and skill-building exercises for social interaction and communication.
- Supportive Environment: Kids Connect provides a nurturing, inclusive space where children can refine social skills in a safe environment.
- Parent Collaboration: We equip parents with strategies and resources to support their child’s social development at home, ensuring ongoing progress beyond group sessions.
Who is it for?
Kids Connect is ideal for children aged 5-7 who benefit from structured support in developing social communication skills and establishing friendships through engaging interest-based activities.
What is the cost?
The program is billed accordance with the NDIS guidelines for Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation under Group and Centre Based Activities ($90/ per session). It is claimable through NDIS.
