Mimi Naylor – Clinical Director
The greatest joy in life comes from the richness of our relationships with others.
The core skills needed to build relationships are communication, clear speech, articulation, understanding language, using the right words to express oneself and the ability to negotiate. We also need to advocate, to ask for help, to reassure and encourage.
Wherever our paths cross with others, we need to be able to communicate to flourish.
I am passionate about helping every individual gain the skills needed to communicate. My goal is to support anyone who finds the learning journey hard and to support their families and carers too.
I have been a speech pathologist for more than 16 years. I started out in the UK and became a Specialist Neuro Speech and Language Therapist for brain injury and rehabilitation. I volunteered in India working with a Maxillofacial Hospital with children and adults with severe congenital trauma disfigurements. I have been teaching student speech pathologists as a Clinical Educator for more than 10 years.
I now lead Talkshop Speech Pathology as its Clinical Director. My mandate is to partner with parents, local schools and pre-schools to support early intervention.
As a parent, I understand the challenges (and heartache) of supporting a child with learning needs. This is why we work intently with the families of children with complex diagnosed or undiagnosed needs.
I am particularly ardent about literacy skills in primary and high-school-age children. At Talkshop we run a Literacy clinic, Teacher and Educator professional development workshops and speak at Kindergarten Orientation forums.
We are fortunate enough to live in a society that gives us freedom of speech and the right to communicate. Teaching and enhancing these skills in our clients and being a voice for those who struggle to express themselves is what spurs me on each day.
We want to help. If you are a parent of a child, or a carer of an adult with speech, language, literacy, voice or swallowing difficulties, please book an appointment online, call us or email us.
You can even stop by at our Friday morning Drop-In Clinics run during NSW school terms.
Connect with us if you have any concerns. We are friendly and happy to help.

Charlotte Aitken – Speech Pathologist
Hi, I’m Charlotte! I love spending time with people of all ages, helping them build their confidence to overcome communication barriers.
Growing up with a lisp, I can understand some of the struggles my clients and their families face. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. However, just like any journey, having a guide along the way can make a big difference. That’s where I fit into the picture! I’m here to show you the paths we can take, the tools we can use, and make sure that each session is a positive and fun learning experience.
One of my passions is helping Talkshop’s young adults with their social communication and language skills. I co-developed and lead Talkshop’s Life Skills Group, a group aimed to support young adults with social communication skills and to increase their independence in the community.
Coming from a background in linguistics and having a love for language, I share Talkshop’s passion for helping school aged children with their literacy skills. I believe that with the right guidance and strategies, every child’s potential can be unlocked and their confidence soar. I have completed additional literacy training at the Macquarie University Reading Clinic on the Assessment and Treatment Options for Children with Reading and Spelling Difficulties.
I am Hanen: It Takes Two To Talk certified; this is a program designed to assist parents of children who have language delay. I believe that empowering and supporting parents to help their children is powerful and I love going on that journey with parents. I also love working with their little ones to encourage language development.
On the weekend you’ll find me running after my Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Archie! I love baking; my favourite dessert is mango and white chocolate cheesecake. I also enjoy design and have the awesome creative job of helping create Talkshop’s Instagram posts. Check us out at @talkshopspeech.

Sarah Park – Speech Pathologist
Communication doesn’t just involve using our words. It’s also about using gestures, pictures, facial expressions, tone of voice and so much more! That is the beauty of communication.
Here at Talkshop, we always put our clients first and ask the question “How can we help”. We are all about working as a team to support your needs.
I work with both adults and children. With adults, I am often working to maintain language skills with friends and family and keep the confidence connecting when out and about. Some of my clients may have had a stroke or some other condition that has changed their speech or swallowing. With children, you can find me racing kids on obstacle courses or on the trampoline practising sounds – the best therapy is when we’re all having fun!
I am passionate about working with individual clients and family as a team. I provide tools, skills and strategies to assist clients to achieve their goals inside and outside the clinic.

Maxine Williams – Speech Pathologist
Throughout my life I’ve been fascinated by the intricacies of communication and the way that humans developed language.
As a speech pathologist at Talkshop, I work in a space where I am privileged to help support and develop these skills! Whether that’s supporting a client with their speech sounds while doing a crazy obstacle course, or breaking down the fundamentals of literacy while we play basketball.
I love to keep my sessions fun and play based, and I am a huge advocate for neurodiverse affirming therapy! I believe one of the most important things we can do to support our neurodiverse clients is to recognise the changes that need to take place in society, and extend our support to the community to advocate for our clients.
I am passionate about working with clients of all ages, and getting families involved in our sessions.
When I’m not at work I love exploring the world and going bushwalking, spinning around in aerial dance, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

Hi, I’m Jessica!
I have a passion for supporting children’s language, literacy, and communication development. Throughout my career, I have worked with children facing literacy difficulties, helping them overcome challenges and build strong communication skills. I’m especially driven about fostering communication across all age groups and ensuring that each individual feels confident in expressing themselves.
As a bilingual speaker, I understand and respect the importance of cultural and linguistic context, which allows me to tailor my therapies to meet the specific needs of each client. Hi, I’m Jane! I deeply value helping others and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Jane Shin – Speech Pathologist
Hi, I’m Jane!
I deeply value helping others and making a meaningful difference in their lives. Growing up, I always loved playing and connecting with children, which greatly shapes my therapy. I believe in the power of language and communication – not just as tools for expression, but as bridges that enable us to connect, share cultures and build lasting relationships.
As a bilingual speaker, I understand how language is deeply tied to identity and connection. I am passionate about working collaboratively with families to support each client’s unique communication journey, ensuring that every individual has access to their communication rights.
For me, the best therapy happens when we are having fun, building relationships, and learning together. I have seen first-hand how speech pathology can transform an individual’s confidence, motivation, and participation, and I am dedicated to fostering that growth.
Above all, I want both the children and adults I work with to feel safe, supported, and heard. Even if they don’t remember everything I taught them years from now, I hope they always remember how they felt in our sessions together – understood, empowered, and full of joy!
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, cafe hopping, baking and going on picnics!
